The main change in the update is the change to Twitter Blue for $7.99 per month. As part of Twitter Blue, you can also display a blue check mark “just like the celebrities, businesses and politicians you already know”.
Verified Twitter Blue is available for iOS in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, notes the note.

At the time of publication, you can purchase an upgraded version of Twitter Blue, but no one seems to have verified it with the app yet.
This update also hints at other changes in the works. The list included “half the ads and much better ads”, with fewer ads “supporting Twitter in fighting bots” being “twice as relevant” to users. It is set up to get the “reward” of advertising.
Subscribers can also post longer videos on the platform, gaining “preferred ranking for quality content” because user content is “prioritized in replies, mentions and searches”. , described as helping to “reduce the visibility of fraud, spam, and bots.”
The fee hike is part of new owner Elon Musk’s attempt to change Twitter’s bottom line, and the maneuver has already led to mass layoffs.
Musk initially wanted $20 per month for verification, but after intensive discussions about the service with prominent users, the lower rate of $8 was adopted.
