BROOKLINE — Town Administrator Chas Carey and Assistant Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations Caitlin Starr are happy to share that the Town of Brookline has released its 2023 Diverse and Inclusive Business Directory To do.
The full directory can be found here.
This directory highlights and celebrates Brookline’s diverse, accessible and inclusive independent business community. Through community conversations and several online campaigns, Brookline businesses and organizations were invited and encouraged to be included in the new directory.
Ten new companies were added to the directory this year. The directory includes coffee shops, restaurants, shops, art studios, health studios, nonprofits, and more.
The directory also contains visual keys, allowing users to determine which businesses are owned by diverse business enterprises and which are fully accessible.
“The town of Brookline is working closely with our businesses and members of our community to ensure that inclusivity continues to be a priority,” said Starr. “We hope to continue to update the directory year after year and acquire an atmosphere that supports these businesses.”
Hard copies of the Directory are available at Town Halls, Public Health Buildings, Brookline Libraries, and Senior Centers. An electronic Word document is also available for improved accessibility for screen readers.
If you have any questions about the directory or how to best access it, please contact Caitlin Starr, Assistant Director of MPH, CDE, Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations Office at cstarr@brooklinema.gov or 617-730-2345.
