Jayakrishnan and Shilpa, who work in the IT sector, chose Kazhakkoottam, known as the IT hub of Thiruvananthapuram, to build their new home. They both work here, so they bought a piece of land in Kazacoutam for 4.8 cents.
The plot has roads on both sides. After leaving the legal set, the house had to be built in a very small area. In addition, since I own two cars, there were many requests such as wanting a large parking space. Kudos to her architect Rohit for designing such a wonderful home to suit his family’s needs and tastes.
Elevations feature a contemporary box style for smaller plots. The black cladding walls add the perfect contrast against the serene white walls.The cantilever design is used generously in the home. The eye-catching car pouch is also designed in this style.
Although it is two stories, it boasts three-story facilities. Interestingly, the master bedroom is located on the mezzanine level built over the car porch. Designed at 2650 square feet, the stunning residence includes a car porch, sitout, living and dining area, courtyard, kitchen with work area, and bedrooms on the first floor. There is a bedroom on the mezzanine floor. Meanwhile, there is also another bedroom and a home theater on the upper floor.
Vitrified tiles are used for the flooring in the room. Custom-made furniture, on the other hand, looks chic. The staircase, designed in cantilever style, is the highlight of the interior. A luxurious staircase with teak wood on a steel frame. The mezzanine bedroom is also constructed in a cantilever style with no column support.
The double-height dining area is incredibly spacious. The custom-made dining table has a bench on one side. Interestingly, the dining space with double height ceilings serves as a connecting area on both floors.
The family wanted an open kitchen to suit their busy lifestyle. Meanwhile, the cabinet is finished with plywood and acrylic finish. The countertop is lined with granite. An adjoining work area completes the modern kitchen.
Bedrooms are designed with your comfort in mind. Also, on the upper floors is a home theater that makes full use of Dolby sound technology. The family is happy to have everything they dreamed of in their home.
