Tesla recently showed a video showing how the Tesla Bot’s main leg actuator successfully lifted a 0.5-ton grand piano. As the Tesla bot project continues to move forward, the display is both fascinating and terrifying.
Tesla shared a video earlier this week showing the functionality of the leg actuators in action. Lifting a grand piano is no easy task. But the display of power and strength from the Tesla Bot’s actuators is nothing less than a testament to the strength and capability of the part.
Don’t get me wrong, this is very impressive. But the lightness of the actuators that lift this piano is both fascinating and terrifying. The Tesla bot will likely become a big part of Tesla’s business model, but the product is still in the early stages of development, but is progressing quickly thanks to a rapidly expanding team.
It’s been a year since the Tesla Bot was first announced, but the company released several new updates at its AI Day 2.0 event in late September. But while robotics experts weren’t impressed with the progress, some applauded Tesla’s efforts to develop a domestic helper.
At this point, we already know that the Tesla Bot can help with basic-level tasks. Tesla has shared a video of the bot helping workers at its Fremont factory. This is a big step in the right direction. It shows investors and potential customers that the Tesla bot is more than just a breakdancing prank. The reality is that it can revolutionize your home.
However, there is also a fine line between helping and fearing. Bots seem like the ideal solution for helping with household chores, but their power alone is downright scary. I’m sure I’ll stay on the positive side of Tesla Bot.
