As the rainy season in California draws to a close, the nursery at the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden will host a “Plant It! Forward” will be held this spring. .

“Native plants thrive best if they grow in the ground before the rainy season ends,” said Matt Straka, the garden’s retail manager. We have even more varieties of seeds ready to plant right now, including unique items that aren’t always available.

The nursery, located just inside the garden gate, features native plants that are easy to grow all year round. At the spring event, in addition to the nursery sales staff, volunteer helpers will help shoppers into the parking lot with their shopping.
If you would like to visit the gardens in addition to shopping, pre-booking is required at www.sbbtanicgarden.org/visit/hours-reservations. If you are just shopping, no reservation is required. They can park in the member parking lot and check in at the front kiosk to receive a shopper pass.
