Does Sonos support Apple Music? Yes, and now Sonos is adding spatial audio support to Apple Music for its customers for the first time.
Starting March 28, Sonos owners using Apple Music will be able to listen to tracks with spatial audio. Specifically, Apple Music spatial audio support will be available on Sonos speakers Era 300, Arc, and Beam (Gen 2).
Spatial audio offers an immersive way to experience music. 360-degree audio puts the listener in the center, hearing elements from all angles of the stereo field.

Spatial audio is free for Apple Music users, but compatible hardware such as speakers or headphones is required to use this feature. Apple Music has previously partnered with Mercedes-Benz to bring his Spatial Audio to cars, and its own HomePod speaker supports listening modes.
Meanwhile, Sonos recently partnered with another streaming platform, Deezer, to bring Deezer’s track library to Sonos Radio. And the audio company’s just-announced Sonos Era 300 speakers are also designed specifically for spatial audio.
Giles Martin, Vice President of Sound Experience at Sonos, said:
“Sonos continues to put listeners at the forefront of sound innovation, giving them access to groundbreaking experiences like spatial audio with Dolby Atmos through Apple Music, helping them feel more from the content they love.”
