Skylum’s Imgmi for smartphones has been around for a while. Similar to Luminar Neo on Mac and PC platforms, this is an AI-based image editor with many features such as sky replacement, power line removal, tools for simple editing such as saturation, exposure, shadows, highlights, etc. is equipped with
This latest version includes new tools for portrait retouching. The Skin AI tool analyzes the image and detects up to 5 people in it. Then automatically enhance and retouch each person’s skin, with full control over how adjustments are applied. It can also smooth skin while keeping details like hair and eyelashes sharp. In future versions, Skin AI can also remove various skin imperfections such as acne, freckles, and moles. Skin AI automates time-consuming masking routines and gives you beautiful results in just a few clicks.
The Body AI tool shapes the subject’s torso and abdomen. This one has her two sliders. Shape slims the target’s torso or adds volume. Abdomen, on the other hand, removes volume by pinching the subject’s abdomen.
Try Imgmi
It’s kind of nice to have a tool similar to the Neo in your pocket. If you’re traveling and want to share images, this app is a lot easier than taking your laptop apart.Compared to other photo apps for his iPhone that I’ve tried, I’ve found the results to be good. I was. Sky replacement is smooth and you can move the sky when you drop in, but you must use the same sky that comes with Luminar Neo. i would like to add myself. Many of the filters are well made and I was able to get some nice looking landscape images using the app.
Here’s an iPhone photo I took the other day.
Then crack the Imgmi with an empty replacement.
The new AI portrait tools are also great. Slimming people down is easy, and you can even change the color of your clothes with a tap (original shirt was green).
Luckily, saving a photo adds it to the end of your camera roll and doesn’t erase the original photo. Unfortunately, raw images are not intact after editing. Instead, it will be his JPEG in high quality. I wish there was a TIFF option, but he’s a JPEG that I transfer from my smartphone to someone else.
price
The app is a little pricey. A one-time purchase is $24.99, and other prices are a little more cryptic. A 7-day free trial is available. In-app purchases appear to be $2.49 per week, $9.99 per month, and $19.99 per year. The App Store has multiple prices for the same subscription and no explanation as to which is correct.
Personally, I hate software subscriptions, so I prefer a one-time fee. I would like a discount for Luminar Neo users, but that is not an option.
final thoughts
Imgmi (worst app name ever) is a sophisticated mobile software. It runs quickly and smoothly. It lacks some features such as sharpening and some of the other items mentioned above.
Bringing an AI tool to a smartphone app couldn’t have been easier, and I think the app would do well. The AI portrait tool works as advertised, even when there are multiple people in the shot.
Sure, you want more control over your image, and Luminar Neo for PC and Mac is for that.
For quick dirty edits and special effects without masking, Imgmi is worth buying.
You can find it on Google Play Store and iOS App Store. For more information on the app, please visit our website.
