Position overview

Setting strategic direction for HCBP (30%)
- Review and improve the HCBP solution strategy document that describes the business case, high-level use cases, functional requirements, and financial flow. This includes evaluating new solution enhancement ideas and strategizing appropriate go-to-market plans.
- Identify opportunities to create value for VillageReach HCBP solutions by modeling effective communication, innovation, and driving strategic thinking and planning related to telemedicine development and implementation efforts.
- Apply a thorough understanding of the global and sub-Saharan African telemedicine landscape to identify opportunities for solution differentiation.
- Create a solution strategy document that describes the business case, high-level use cases, functional requirements, and financial flow
- Analyze market data to develop solution replication strategies and define solution goals for effective demand generation communications planning
Design, development and implementation management of HCBP solutions (40%)
- Understand your country’s health priorities and guide how best to tailor your HCBP service delivery to meet those needs
- Lead execution of solution lifecycle processes including market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and solution implementation
- Translate government medical needs into functional requirements for solution design and development by engineering teams.Involves coordinating efforts of relevant departments to successfully bring the solution to market
- Develop, implement, and maintain solution replication timelines across multiple teams
HCBP Partnership and Business Development (30%)
- Lead strategic partnership mobilization efforts for telemedicine implementation for governments, technology partners, and donors
- Work with the business development team to expand cross-sectoral partnerships and identify learning opportunities in the telemedicine space. This includes building and managing long-term relationships with various external organizations in the telemedicine space. included. Represent VillageReach’s activities to the wider community at workshops, conferences, advisory committees, and other networking opportunities.
- Research target medical institutions, determine funding potential, and lead efforts to build collaborative relationships for revenue-generating projects.

Oversight Responsibilities:
This position will oversee the HCBP Technical Lead within the Global Technical Team (GTT).
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A master’s degree in health informatics, public health, business, public policy, or social science is preferred, but not required.
- 10+ years of partnership development and resource mobilization in mission-driven organizations.
- Established relationships with decision makers in funding bodies and collaborative networks.
- A proven ability to strategically work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.
- Professional oral and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate the organization’s added value in a clear and stimulating manner, and the ability to communicate across cultures.
- Ability to plan work in a multicultural team in a manner that achieves project goals, supports the professional development of team members, and contributes to a collaborative working environment.
- Good ability in critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize and complete multiple tasks accurately, and respond to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Experience working in the digital health, technology sector or providing online services to consumers is a definite advantage.

environment and physical demands
VillageReach does not have private offices. Employees work in a shared, open environment with employee-accessible task and conference rooms for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the working environment is typically quiet. Due to time zone differences between our Seattle and country offices, as well as other global staff locations, we expect our US-based staff to be available for early morning meetings beginning at 6am. Additionally, our global HQ and country office staff will be available for late afternoon or early evening meetings until 6:00 pm local time.
