Pop music was shazamed more than any other genre in Salt Lake City last year, followed by hip-hop and rock.
Big picture: Axios’ Erin Davis identifies songs Shazamed on SLC more often than anywhere else in the US
Usage: The top 100 Shazam songs were identified by data provider Chartmetric in 96 US cities.
- Axios compared the ranking of songs in each city to the average placement of those songs in 95 other US cities.
Line spacing: The survey also revealed the top 10 most Shazamed artists in each city and the top 5 most Shazamed music genres.
SLC’s top 10 artists are: Drake, The Weeknd, 21 Savage, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Baby, Ed Sheeran, Future.
- Alternative and R&B/Soul rounded out the top five most Shazamed genres.
