Which Netflix movies are returning for sequels? Quite a few, after all! Welcome to our rundown of all the Netflix original movies that are planned or announced to get sequels on Netflix in the next few years.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston are returning for a sequel to the murder mystery comedy.
Here’s what you can expect from the sequel, according to Netflix:
“Four years after solving their first murder mystery, Nick and Audrey Spitz struggle to get their private detective agency back on track when they are invited to celebrate the wedding of their friend Maharaja on a private island. Chicken Run gets a sequel 23 years after the first movie hit theaters. Your favorite characters are back in this new film, once again produced by Aardman Animation. In particular, Voice has his cast renewed.
Netflix does not provide an exact release date chicken run 2 November 11th is quoted on several websites, but has not been confirmed. Still, Aardman participated in an interview that the film will be released in the fourth quarter.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley

It is set to be the fourth film in the Beverly Hill Cop franchise by Paramount Pictures. Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley will be available exclusively on Netflix in 2024.
Eddie Murphy will once again play Axel Foley, alongside other celebrities such as Kevin Bacon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Judge Reinhold.
Code 8: Part II

Jeff Chang returns to direct the sci-fi sequel starring Stephen Amell and Robbie Amell.
Production on the sequel has wrapped up, and it’s unclear when Part 2 will hit Netflix, but it’s expected to be in 2023 or 2024 at the latest.

Not much is known about the third film other than the fact that Rian Johnson will be writing and directing and Daniel Craig will be returning again as Benoît Blanc.
Rebellion Moon: Part II

Netflix puts a lot of faith in Zack Snyder. Rebel Moon is his big new sci-fi fantasy movie with the first movie coming out in December 2023. Prior to this release, a sequel has already been greenlit (and possibly expanded to other spin-offs, according to sources). It will be released in the next few years.
Here’s an overview of the first film’s plot:
“When a peaceful colony at the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the forces of the tyrannical Regent Barisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past named Korra to recruit warriors from neighboring planets. It will help you find and face it.”

Red Notice still holds the accolade of being the most-watched film on Netflix in its first 28 days of release, and two more films have been cleared for production shortly after their release in late 2021. rice field.
Sadly, news about the sequel has been quiet since the initial announcement, but at one point both films were expected to shoot back-to-back in 2023.

No word on when production will begin on the also announced sequel or spin-off film, but we do know that Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese will be writing the spin-off script.

Victoria Mahoney will direct the sequel to Charlize Theron’s action-fantasy film and adapt the Force Multipride comic.
Filming on the film will take place in Italy and the UK throughout 2022 and will be completed by the end of the year.
The film specifically wasn’t on the 2023 movie roster, so it’s possible it’ll be released by 2024.

sea beast has become one of Netflix’s most popular animated films, with Chris Williams returning to direct a sequel due out in late 2022.
The first film, due out in the summer of 2022, told the story of a girl who, after allied with the infamous Jacob Holland, is stowed away on a ship and travels to uncharted waters.
Sequels to other Netflix movies announced
Due to time constraints, here are a few other films that have been announced to receive sequels at some point, but have limited information and it’s unclear if they’re still in the works.
- Army of the Dead 2 – A sequel to Zack Snyder’s zombie movie Army of the Dead was ordered shortly after the debut of the first film, though it’s unclear where it’s being developed.
- Bright 2 – A sequel to the Will Smith movie was in development but was reportedly canceled.
- death note 2 – With The Duffer Brothers currently working on the Death Note series, it’s unclear if a sequel to Death Note will materialize.
- spencer confidential 2 – Following the release of Spenser Confidential in the 2020s, a sequel has been announced, though it’s unclear where it’s in development.
- We can be heroes sequel – A Spy Kids spin-off sequel by Robert Rodriguez has been announced, but it’s unclear where it’s in development.
- yes day 2 – A sequel to the Jennifer Garner movie was announced in July 2021, but no news has surfaced since.
