    SM Entertainment’s boy band NCT’s ‘Infinite’ expansion will end in 2023, the K-pop agency has confirmed.

    On February 25, SM Entertainment shared the latest in a series of videos about its new “SM 3.0” strategy.In this video, SM co-CEOs Chris Lee and Tak Young-jun answer fan questions. , also announced that boy band NCT’s expansion will end in 2023. Subunits NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV.

    The agency initially planned to expand the group “infinitely”, with new members and sub-units constantly being launched, targeting different regions and demographics. They share that Japan-based NCT Tokyo’s debut will be the last NCT sub-unit to be added.

    It was just two months ago that SM Entertainment founder Lee Suman teased a potential Singapore-based NCT subunit, and NCT Saudi Arabia is also on the way. SM also cut ties with Lee Soo Man in a highly publicized controversy related to his acquisition of SM by HYBE.

    According to an investment report released last week, NCT Tokyo is set to debut with its first mini-album in April. The rest of NCT Tokyo’s members have not been revealed, but fans have speculated that Japanese NCT 127 member Yuta will also be joining the group.

    Elsewhere in the video, SM’s two co-CEOs introduced two changes. improved disclosure and execution of artist activity, and more evenly distributed content and opportunities across the agency’s roster.
