Netflix is finally rolling out an ad-supported tier. At $7 per month, this new tier is designed to quell streamers’ concerns that the ad-free version is too expensive. Subscribers are interested in what makes it different from the long-running, ad-free version of the service. Almost as important, though, is everything that’s not currently available in the ad-free version.
A comprehensive list of these titles has not yet been released, but variety As with all available information, it appears that there are a significant number of well-known TV shows and movies that are not available at the ad-supported tier. There are far more movies than shows left out of the ad-supported tier. While this could mean that the majority of Netflix’s TV shows are originals, there is a fairly healthy range of movies produced by other studios. I still have my library. This list of movies includes three of Daniel Craig’s James Bond films, numerous Oscar nominees and winners, and a few others that are likely to be considered classics in the near future. Includes recent titles.
There are also quite a few horror and action titles that are not available in the ad-supported tier. Considering this new tier is 50% cheaper than the ad-free tier, it may be worth sacrificing some titles.
