Mountain View’s Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) presents a one-of-a-kind concert featuring Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist and bandleader Taylor Agustie and bassoonist Paul Hanson. His performance on Saturday, March 11, titled “Where the Music Takes You,” highlights both Eigsti and Hanson’s specialty: jazz improvisation.

Raised in Menlo Park and a CSMA alumnus, Aigsty performed at the school last spring in a concert debuting his composition “Imagine Our Future.” The work was based on artistic inspiration submitted by over 100 local students, and Eigsti’s flair for improvisation also had its roots. According to the CSMA website, Hanson performed with Eigsti on “Imagine Our Future,” a collaboration that resulted in a concert on March 11.

“Where the Music Takes You” is part of the CSMA’s Spring Concert Series, featuring free performances in a variety of genres, including jazz, folk, Americana, and classical.

“Where the Music Takes You” by Taylor Eigsti and Paul Hanson takes place on March 11th at 7:30 PM at Tateuchi Hall at the Community School of Music and Arts, 230 Mountain View, San Antonio Circle. Admission is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Wearing a mask is strongly recommended. For more information, visit arts4all.org.
