Most Saturdays, the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex on the Boston campus of Northeastern University is a quiet place. Students can tour six floors of classrooms and research spaces to spot current and future students.
This Saturday was not one of those days.
On November 5th, the blaze and bustle of Hollywood filled part of ISEC, with a spotlight on Academy Award-nominated Irish actor Liam Neeson. Liam Neeson spent most of his day filming movie scenes for his new action thriller Thug.

For Northeastern, it was an opportunity to show the world one of Boston’s most beautiful buildings.
Renata Nyul, vice president of communications at Northeastern, said: “It’s great to welcome Liam Neeson and his crew to Northeastern and have ISEC play a small role in his next film.”
According to IMDB, Neeson’s latest film is about an aging gangster (Neeson is 70 years old) who reunites with his children and tries to right the wrongs of his past, but the criminal underworld is happy to get its grip on it. do not loosen.
Neeson was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for Schindler’s List, but he is best known as an action star for playing Bryan Mills in the Taken series. His other roles include Qui-Gon Jinn in the ‘Star Wars’ trilogy and Ra’s Al Goo in the ‘Batman’ trilogy.
Neeson’s co-stars on “Thug” include Yoronda Ross, Ron Perlman, and Daniel Deamer. Tony Gayton wrote the script and the film is directed by Hans Petter Morand, who directed 2019’s ‘Cold Pursuit’ starring Neeson.
