Reactional Music has reached an agreement with Hipgnosis Song Management. This is the latest.

Reactional Music’s patented technology allows you to incorporate any music into your game, and the entire game reacts to it live. This allows gamers to personalize their persona and gameplay with their favorite music, similar to avatar skins. Reactional Music is already working with developers on several pilot projects to test this technology.

Reactional is changing the way gamers experience, interact and enjoy music in games, ushering in a new era of music personalization and in-game purchases. For Hipgnosis, this means that its catalog and artists’ music become part of the gameplay. This gives Hipgnosis access to millions of gamers and game developers around the world. In-game purchases will account for his 74% of all gaming revenue in 2021, a $129 billion market. In-game music revenue now accounts for less than 0.001% of his total market for in-game purchases.

“This partnership will bring gamers around the world a day where they can play their favorite games while interactively listening to their favorite songs. I am happy to create something that brings me so much joy.”

“From our first conversation, Hipgnosis understood what we were doing with Reactional Music,” adds David Knox, president of Reactional Music. “We have a shared vision of the importance of artists and creators, and we put them at the center of what we do, creating an ethical and fair platform that works for artists, game developers, and rights owners. We ensure transparency as part of our model. The Hipgnosis catalog is a strong partner for Reactional. Its music and songs are the soundtrack to our lives.”

“The intersection of games and music is incredibly exciting,” continues Knox. Commercially, we offer opportunities for both industries with in-game purchases. Creatively, it’s fascinating to see artists, composers, and game developers working together more closely. And it’s not just about new game releases. Reactional’s platform will allow the curation and personalization of music for existing games in his franchise as part of seasonal updates. “

Reactional’s engine does not modify, mix, or edit the music master. Reactional tracks all music usage across its platform. So rights holders can see when gamers are interacting with their music. We partner with Tuned Global, Musiio, and Blokur for music distribution, consistent tagging, and rights management for all music and sounds.
