Frame and Art Center’s featured artist for March is Renee Short.
Short is from Brooklyn, New York and currently lives in Las Cruces. She uses colors, textures, lines, space, shapes, and found objects to create contemporary mixes of her media abstractions, says Short.
Looking at her artwork offers “a visual experience without tangible obstruction or reinterpretation: non-objective art”, and “her unique composition is a variety of evocative graphical images, Communicate ideas, feelings, and viewers have a lot to enjoy, argue, disagree, and ponder,” she said.
Short said her artwork “goes beyond verbal communication, but because we’re all multidimensional beings, the viewer has to understand what it is, what it means, what it is.” You would want to know what it represents.
“Imagination is not fixed, so no one really knows everything,” Short said. It’s in progress.
“We include in the artwork whatever pops up,” Short told Bulletin 2021. I’m probably creating every second of the day. “
