A local business invited teachers from Taylor Elementary School to a special self-care treatment as part of Teacher Appreciation Week.
On March 7, approximately 10 Taylor Elementary Schools received invitations to free HydraFacial treatments and free Visia skin analyzes, snacks and refreshments at Foxboro’s H2T Skin and Laser Center.
Kathleen Manning, H2T’s Chief Marketing Officer, said the event is a way of doing business to show appreciation to local teachers.
“We believe in caring for caregivers, so this year our focus is on doing just that, helping teachers, first responders, mothers, and want to create moments/events for any profession that deals with the general public.
Manning said they cut a 30-minute treatment down to 20 minutes, allowing more teachers to participate.
H2T owners Matt and John Azulay-LaFever said that too many people, like teachers, work so hard to take care of others that they don’t make time to take care of themselves.
“We believe that doing good things does well. “A little recognition and gratitude can go a long way in making someone feel better and lessening the burnout and fatigue they are feeling. I want to help people who help them feel better.
H2T’s owners wanted to host this first event to invite teachers from Taylor Elementary School, as their two children, Grayson and Bradley, attend school there.
Diane Noonan, a literacy expert who worked more than 27 years as a Foxboro School District teacher between Igo Elementary and Taylor Elementary Schools, said she was honored to receive this treatment as a teacher.
“It’s a special treat,” she said.
While giving 3rd grade teacher Diane Zeitler a HydraFacial treatment, Ht2 staff member Tianna Rizzotto-Kenerson said it’s great to give back to the community.
“There have been many professions that have been overlooked in recent years, and teaching is one of them. I think it’s great that we can give back to them and let them relax.
Zeitler, who has worked for Foxboro School District for two years and Taylor for one, said he was grateful for the unexpected invitation.
“This is my first facial, so I’m happy to experience it and come back,” said Seitler.
John Azulay-LaFever said he was thrilled to see the number of teachers who took advantage of the offer.
“We love and appreciate our teachers because they work really hard and have one of the most important jobs for us. They are teaching us our future.” We are happy to do something for them,” he said.
