    new york, February 27, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Ernst & Young LLP (EY US) announced today that it will hold a showcase ancestral archives, Interactive multimedia installation by artist-in-residence EY Metaverse Lab Josie Williams SXSW 2023 explores the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) to infuse Black thoughts into virtual worlds and Metaverse experiences. Joint development with EY Metaverse Lab and NEW INC [part of the New Museum]Williams’ work leverages the learning capabilities of deep neural networks to bring the Black leaders that inspired her to the modern community. It shows how we can harness and enrich our past connections, experiences and knowledge to positively impact humans and build better societies.

    This installation James Baldwin, zora neale hurst, Audrey Road and Octavia Butler as a “virtual poet”. Built on a generative AI model that enables original poetic responses inspired by the author’s linguistic style, these virtual poets are designed to connect with the next generation of critical thinkers, activists and thought leaders.     The EY Metaverse Lab Artist in Residence program brings together artists and engineers to explore some of the world’s toughest problems. For example, Williams is a creative technologist and Afrofuturist who focuses on interactive projects that combat stigma, social injustice, and the use of biometrics for mass surveillance.
