Dear Editor,
Through the following passages, I would like to express my thoughts to you and your readers in the hope that we will examine ourselves and act in the world around us. is to shed light on some areas that threaten our lives as human beings and jeopardize our future. I must emphasize. Every day we see more and more crime and violence, murder and death, serious accidents, broken relationships and disordered youth. Declining moral values and standards are ravaging our society, fighting to be seen and heard by all. The world as we know it is spinning out of control for me. I hope to heaven there are some truly sane people left.
Politics in the economy has become the new crime as politicians manipulate their powers and roles to distort communities and citizens. Migrants are fighting to move to new lands, territories and borders for a better future. Countries rebelling against each other. Fighting for more land, wealth and prosperity by sacrificing the livelihoods and shedding blood of innocent people. It is as if humans are running amok and dust of chaos is moving across all lands. How can we escape from this madness? Everyone wants to do their own thing and not face their own wrong behavior. Dreams of a fast life turn to corruption by any means possible just to achieve abundance. No one believes in hard work anymore. No one wants to be loyal and fight for what is right as long as they feel good and have fun and glorious fun.
On the other hand, while we fight and destroy each other, we watch as the planet tries to confront the effects and impacts of climate change. We have to deal with bigger problems that require urgent resolution, but we are drawn back to our own selfish interests and ambitions and numb to deeper conflicts that require our attention. We have become constructive time-wasters and lazy people instead of spending our days and hours meaningfully, taking every opportunity for good intentions and self-improvement. It spreads/shares faster than messages and the truth is being turned upside down. No one cares about being good and kind anymore. We have turned the world into an artificial hell. Some great and educated people use education as a weapon against the weak and ignorant. The rich bully the poor, and those who stand up for justice are treated as outcasts.
What a world and time we live in! where did the truth go what have we done with our lives? Blood stains are everywhere – window shields, painted walls, newly built streets. We kill and kill, we take and we take and we keep fighting. We are a generation of gluttons who are self-indulgent and want more. Overtaken by our desire to consume more, we are never satisfied. Today, we stand and watch as lives are taken before our eyes and no one is there to help. Our mobile phones have become our gods and precious assets, more than they are worth in our lives. What does our future look like? Given our current situation, will there still be good intentions and kind hearts?
More than ever, we are losing our own inner wars and robbing the world of its light. We’ve let so many things run rampant in our family and personal lives that we got caught up in the weeds we created. put yourself in danger.
All in all, and all the while, we are destroying the planet and ourselves. Living with the many unfortunate regrets that our future generations may have to face if we don’t change now. Leave a legacy and brighten the future for those who will come after we leave.Leave your mark on the world. Don’t leave the world the same way you found it. Add in it, add your voice, your love, your skills, etc., and fearlessly shine. So hold your ground tight in a lost and whirlwind world.
Sincerely,
Imran Backus
