On November 2nd, just before the fair started, the Art Fashion Show opened. ART Fashion is an event with the theme of climate change. Eleven designers brought relevant topics into fashion. Among them, Luxury Flying Dress’s Alexandra Suarez focused on the theme of biodegradable dresses, while Off The Grid’s Robert Nestor presented fashionable designs inspired by water and the sea.
Food is also part of this festival, with many culinary pop-ups taking place throughout the weekend.
The Aruba Art Fair marks the artistic development of San Nicolas, a former home of international workers in a long-closed refinery, has evolved into Aruba’s cultural capital. This revival is being driven by a burgeoning art movement that has been driven since the fair’s inaugural year in 2016.
