st. George — Housed in a building that once housed sugar beet seeds, St. George’s Art Museum now houses nearly 1,400 works in its permanent collection. According to a news release issued by the city, St. George’s Museum of Art will host its annual Soup and Bowl fundraiser at the museum on March 3 at 11 a.m. to help maintain and enhance its collection. Everyone is invited to this event.

Tickets to the Soup N’ Bowl fundraiser are $20 and can be purchased in the museum prior to the event or online at this link. Your ticket includes a lunch of soup, bread, dessert, and a local bowl of your choice.
“Soup and Bowls is often cited as one of the best lunchtime activities in St. George,” said St. George’s Museum of Art Management Specialist Jera Smith in a press release. “In addition to receiving a unique bowl to take home, you can also enjoy live music with friends and family while browsing the museums and gift shop while enjoying a delicious meal.”
Sponsored by Zion’s Bank, the Soup N’ Bowl is a great way to attend an event aimed at helping the arts flourish in the St. George area. The handcrafted bowls were created and donated by local artists and community members who participated in the February 3rd Community Pot Throw.
“Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase items created by local artists and meet the potters who donated the bowls,” added Smith.
