4 travel expenses you don’t want to save

Traveling without these costs is not worth it to me.

Traveling is an expensive hobby, especially for a family of four like me.

I don’t want to use up my bank account to go on a trip. Also, I don’t want to be in credit card debt. So there are ways I try to save money, like traveling in the off-season whenever possible and not buying a lot of souvenirs to take home.

However, there are some expenses that I definitely don’t want to save because I feel the trip is worth it. Here are four of them.

1. Stay near attractions

When I travel, finding a suitable place to stay is one of the most important things for me. In fact, I don’t mind paying more for a place where I can walk to many of the area’s major attractions, or at least take a car or public transport to get there. I don’t think so.

The last thing I want to do is get stuck in traffic all vacation or waste half a day driving to get to something I want to see.

This does not mean always choosing the most expensive hotel. You don’t need a five-star resort if you’re going on vacation to explore a region. Staying at a campsite in his RV or choosing a motel over a hotel, as long as the place is clean, safe, has good reviews and is in a prime location. But I would definitely pay more for accommodation in the thick of things rather than in the suburbs.

2. Spacious rental car

If I have to rent a car, I will spare no effort in getting a comfortable car that I feel safe with.

My in-laws have always rented the smallest car available to save money, but we usually opt for minivans or SUVs. You can easily install the car seat, so you don’t worry too much about your child’s safety. on the road. I also like the fact that big cars are comfortable to ride. Even if the rental fee is high.

3. Correct flight

If I’m going to fly to my destination, I’m willing to pay more for a plane that leaves at a reasonable time and gives me a direct flight to my destination. We pay far more for a flight that leaves at noon than we do for a flight that leaves at 6am. I didn’t want to go on vacation and be a zombie all day because I had to catch a plane so early. It’s not worth being exhausted to save a little money.

4. Local food and experiences

Finally, I am happy to be able to splurge to enjoy local restaurants and unique experiences. If it costs me, I’d rather pay, even if it means having to travel a little less. can afford it.
