“Learning how to keep your peace is the best thing you can do for yourself this year,” says confidence and mindset coach Hattie Maandrews. It gives you time to focus on things.[ting] Lost in the chaos of modern life. This may look like creating and enforcing boundaries, blocking “me time” time in your journal, or removing yourself from relationships/friendships/situations that feel draining or exhausting.
“These acts of self-love and preservation will improve your life immeasurably, and as a result, you will feel a slow but steady increase in happiness. If you can truly embrace this mindset, , it becomes second nature and you are left with a warm, fuzzy feeling of peace.
“But don’t confuse this with being precarious, selfish, or guarded. It’s not about saying no up front. [from] A last-minute relief. This is no excuse for behaving badly as a partner, being unreliable as a friend, or contradicting the people in your life in the name of “keeping your peace.” “
