- Smithtown foodies can celebrate the local spot recently named Best Ranchonet on Long Island with the 2023 Bethpage Best of LI Awards. According to the magazine, Maureen’s Kitchen serves the best breakfast, brunch and lunch and has been ranked among the best since 2010. No reservation required. (Smithtown patch)
- Pet food drives are held in town to donate food and supplies to family pets in need to help Long Island Cares residents. Suffolk County Councilor Rob Trotta is helping organize the event.
